Title: Hunt for 'Facebook rapists' before they can strike again
Subject: Police in London are hunting 50 repeat rapists, networking via Facebook.
Newspaper: London Evening Standard
Article written by: Justin Davenport (crime editor)

Summary
The police in London is hunting about fifty repeat  rapists. The rapists operate by using social media to get in contact with vulnerable women. They are also working illegal as minicab drivers to target their victims or going to clubs to overload their victims with drugs and alcohol . Detective Mick Duthie says a hard core of suspects are evading arrest because victims are to embarrassed to admit they have met their attackers on social media but there is also a lack of evidence to solve the cases. Last year there were 5,070 rapes in London, only 742 cases were solved. Mr. Duthie said police also plan to use licensing laws to shut pubs and clubs associated with high levels of rape and sex assaults.

Opinion
I think it is horrible that men take advantage of vulnerable women, but on the other hand those women are looking for trouble by using social networking websites to meet men. Everybody knows there are risks when you meet people on the internet. I also think they should help harmed women to speak up, because they are embarrassed they will not speak up their minds. The police needs those women to speak up in order to solve the rape cases. I think they should approach it like that, not by closing clubs. But I do agree with the licensing laws to shut pubs and clubs, which are associated with high levels of rape and sex assaults. Cause club or pub owners who let those things happen in their own pub or club, are as bad as the rapers themselves.
